Police give the green light. Many of you will have noticed the hive of activity around the former Woolpack pub. Since the last newsletter there has been a big effort to get the derelict building reopened as a community pub under the new name of "The Orchard And Anvil". The new name was part of the original police requirements for any new licensee.
After interviewing several unsuitable candidates for the job of landlord the Police have finally given support to someone they can trust. Dave Bexon of pub management company Enterprise Inns was presented to residents by the Police at an extraordinary Triangle Residents meeting in February.
Dave sought to reassure local residents that every effort would be made to prevent any repeat of the drugs problems that used to plague the pub.
