The Triangle Residents Association is trying to set up a new community based project and we are looking for interested partners to join us.
Please read the
covering letter
attached and if you are grabbed in any way you might like to have a look at the other documents:
If you know of anyone else who takes an active part in the community and you think might be interested in participating please pass this on. If you are part of an organisation and you think this would be best addressed to a colleague please do so.

The main purpose of a Development Brief is to provide clear development guidelines which any prospective developer will be expected to follow when preparing a planning application for the site. A Brief aims to ensure a high quality development by setting out the main principles for development and the requirements of the Local Planning Authority, the Highway Authority and other service providers.
The Triangle Resident's Association has been lobbying the local council to get a Development Brief
drawn up for the Triangle in the light of the number of potential development projects in the area.
We have been promised that we have been put on a list to have one done in December,
so now is the time to get your views aired on how you want the area to evolve.
More housing? More shops? Larger buildings?
Collecting views from residents will involve lots of work - both for us and for the council. We think it's worth it, because future building (eg FJ Warren site near B&Q) will have a massive effect on our area. To help ease the task Councillor Martin Stears suggested we contact an independent organisation, Planning Aid. Their aim is to encourage greater participation in the planning system particularly from deprived or diverse communities. If they are able to help,we expect some planning participation event(s)before the end of the year. More news at the next Residents meeting in September.
