Residential Plans Spark Road Rage

Fears were raised this week that a residential development of the FJ Warren site would result in up to 168 additional cars using the local roads.

The proposed development of 129 flats includes parking for 168 cars, which we assume will lead to greater levels of congestion on Walsworth, Nightingale and nearby roads. From our preview of the plans, the entrance seems to be in Walsworth Road, which means that rush hour traffic on an already busy road will become intolerable.

Having not had the chance to comment on the Old Renault Garage development, the Triangle Resident's Association is committed to getting resident's views heard, regarding this development. email the secretary with your views.

Developers Duck Duties

Despite previous hopes that the developers of the Renault Garage on Walsworth Road could be encouraged to fund parking, cycle and pedestrian improvements, the council seem to have given the developers the go ahead without having to make any contribution to the Triangle community.

However, Jeremy Brown of Stephen Howard Homes, assures residents that this development will improve the prestige of the area and in turn improve local house prices.
