Triangle Tackles Transport
The Triangle Residents Transport Project Group successfully raised a number of
important issues with Herts Highways in a recent meeting with Project Manager
Nigel Hooks and Project Officer Jim Edwards. Top of the agenda was a proposal for three new crossing points and a discussion
about the introduction of one way streets to the area.

Verulam Road Island Sunk?
Despite council assurances that a pedestrian island would be complete by
April, we have yet to see any action on this. The last report was
that plans for a pedestrian island have been
delayed by the contractor overrunning on
other works. The money is there and the plan has got past
phase one of design and safety checks.
Herts County Council prefers the traffic island scheme rather
than a pedestrian crossing, as it they think an island would
slow traffic more.
