Triangle Tackles Transport

The Triangle Residents Transport Project Group successfully raised a number of important issues with Herts Highways in a recent meeting with Project Manager Nigel Hooks and Project Officer Jim Edwards. Top of the agenda was a proposal for three new crossing points and a discussion about the introduction of one way streets to the area.

Verulam Road Island Sunk?

Despite council assurances that a pedestrian island would be complete by April, we have yet to see any action on this. The last report was that plans for a pedestrian island have been delayed by the contractor overrunning on other works. The money is there and the plan has got past phase one of design and safety checks. Herts County Council prefers the traffic island scheme rather than a pedestrian crossing, as it they think an island would slow traffic more.
